Coming initially from a welded design with two parts, poschmann proposed a single part design due to lower risk regarding the high demands in tightness and high temperature resistance. This decision was benefitial in every aspect. No welding process, no 100% tightness control. One part and therefore only one tool cuts invest cost. Production cost is significantly reduced and -after all- the functionality of a fluid guiding part is raised due to a cut free and smooth inner surface.

This 3D Impeller is an essential part of an electrically driven coolant pump for high power engines. Power consumption is reduced from 1,5 kW down to 0,2 kW in comparison to conventionally driven coolant pumps. An impressive fact, that saves about 0,5 l fuel per 100 km.
poschmann industrie – plastic was involved in the development of the impeller and produces the part in a self designed in mould assembly process, that reflects the high demands of process stability.

This article goes into the cockpit board of the new Land Rover generation. It carries the on board computer incl. navigation system. Design is made to reliably handle and stabilize those devices in an Offroader
